Yoga Nidra Workshop (1)
Time & Location
About the Event
Yoga Nidra is a deep form of relaxation/meditation that has existed for thousands of years. The emphasis is on lying down and being guided to relax through the body, and also to find intentions in your life at this time. It is deeply restorative and is used therapeutically for a variety of conditions.
This workshop is aimed at yoga teachers and those with an interest in Yoga Nidra. It will focus on what Yoga Nidra is and offer a brief history of where it originates. You will have the opportunity to relax into two different styles of Yoga Nidra and we will break down the component parts or structure of the practice so you come away confident to write your own Yoga Nidra script (which you could then record and listen to).
You are welcome if you have never practiced Yoga Nidra but it strikes a cord with you, and equally if you are a yoga teacher who is already experienced with Yoga Nidra but is interested in deepening your knowledge.
You will receive 2 x mp3 recordings of the Yoga Nidras that you relax to on the course.
Anna Brook is a teacher based in Margate. She has trained with international yoga nidra specialist Uma Dinsmore Tuli and teaches on regular yoga retreats, teacher trainings and writes for Om Yoga Magazine.
